This is my second lot of bunting which I made recently, for a really good friend I’ve been friends with for a number of years. We’ve got a bit of an in-joke going with royal family paraphernalia for some years now so I bought some commemorative William and Kate royal wedding fabric over a year ago with a view to make something for her using it. i knew she makes a lot of bunting for other people as gifts so I thought it would be nice for her to have some of her own – I did have to check with her boyfriend first though to make sure they didn’t already have loads of the stuff around the place! I didn’t really do anything different when I made these ones as to the others, but I do think my sewing is getting much better now and it was a bit harder finding fabric patterns/colours to match but I think the ones i eventually chose look really nice together. Even if I do say so myself. I also made candles for her but I forgot to take any bloody pictures, typical! Classic Liz. Essentially I bought some really cute metal mini-buckets and some candle wicks with tabs on the ends and poured melted candle wax into the buckets after standing the wicks up straight in them. They took a while to cool and most of an evening to make but I think they look quite cute, even if they did look somewhat homemade. Maybe it’s best I forgot to take photos….
